Hi, I’m Margery!
I am told by friends and family that I am a bubbly person, with a positive outlook and attitude to life!
I spent over 30 years of my career working in the bar trade as a manager and as part of some great teams of staff. Life was far from dull throughout those times! There was always an excuse to create celebrations as birthday parties, charity events and many more days & nights were organised.
In 2005 I started training in Holistic Therapies including Palliative Massage which then started me off on another avenue in life and the transition was made into an all new career. I trained up to teaching level as a workshop facilitator through various courses and have loved holding workshops, courses & talks meeting many amazing people both in Scotland, United Kingdom and abroad since being trained and training. Life is good!
It felt like a very natural addition to train as a Funeral Celebrant and then a Family & Wedding Celebrant. It is a role I totally love and feel so very proud of doing. I seem to always gravitate towards people, celebrations and being able to support people where I can, so this has been the perfect continuation and role for me.
Becoming a deaconess was that extra special addition for me. It means I am able to offer full legal ceremonies for those who get in touch for weddings. I honour who they are and how they wish their day to be on the day according to their beliefs and views. Each and every ceremony is sacred and special. A coming together as a couple in love.
Helping someone organise their wedding, their vow renewal, a baby blessing or a funeral encompasses so much of who I am. For people to leave content & happy with my service feels so uplifting. I have fulfilled my role and to do the very best for them I can do. It is an honour and a privilege.
